for
Seeking Event
Sponsors
Uses: To help you and your non-profit to devise a plan to
secure event sponsors for your 2004 event! This information can be
used as a baseline or a starting point for you to expand upon as
your event dictates.
Background: I've led sponsorship committees in non-profit
organizations. Securing sponsorship often requires a well
thought out plan and lots of hours. Being the season of giving, I
offer this tool/resource to those of you who generously offer your
time and energy
to make the world a better place.

Feature
Article: 5,000 Goals?
Ever come across a really big idea? An idea that grabs your
attention, yet at the same time makes you uncomfortable? An idea
that when considered, explored, and implemented seems to infect your
life in strange and exciting ways? Me too!
I'll try to make this short. I know you may have a holiday party or
two to attend. But this is a big idea, and this isn't the "SHORTS"
column.
I was reading a book entitled "A Happy Pocket Full of Money"
by David
Cameron
and read this:
"You should aim at having at least five thousand goals."
I stopped. Put the book down and thought, "5,000 goals - huh,
me?" I picked up the book and read it again. And then I read it
again and again and again.
Found myself amused. Then uncomfortable. Then excited. Then challenged. And then
it occurred to me, I should actually give this a shot. I thought "no
problem," I could easily see 1,000 on my list very quickly.
I took out a journal and started writing. I flew through the first
25, the next 17 were a little more difficult. By the time I reached
66, I was "finished" or out of goals. I racked my brain and could
think of no more.
This totally surprised me!
I've been goal oriented my entire life. I've been a master at
setting and reaching goals. I've written out my goals for a long time.
After all, my tag line does read "reach your goals. reach your goals faster."
Then, this idea came tumbling down like a cold shower in the middle
of winter:
You've got to have goals to reach them.
No offense to anyone (or me) who has 10, 25, 50, or 100 goals, but your
life is constantly evolving. And honestly, you probably want
things you've never dared to say, write, or dream could ever be
reality!
Let it out. Put it out into the world! You were meant to have exactly what
you want in your life and in your business. And if you want to hear
much more of the David Cameron's philosophy behind this idea, go get the book!
Back to my story.
Since I started this about 6 weeks ago, here are my results:
1) One goal became reality in a very strange and unexpected way
within 2 weeks of writing.
2) Another goal became reality in an interesting and effortless way
within 4 weeks of writing.
3) Another goal became reality because I shared that goal with
someone who simply made it happen.
4) And on and on and on!!!!
If I can do this, so can you! To repeat, you were meant to have
exactly what you want in your life and in your business!
You might get what you want in your life by 1) hiring me to help you, or
2) immersing yourself in some of the most inspiring / thought
provoking materials and discussions that I've come across in a very
long time. (Just so you are clear, I did the later, I did NOT hire
myself, although I will think about it.)
I felt compelled not only to take action, but to share my
experiences with you!
Check out
Attractionville.com and see what I'm
talking about. This community was
founded by my Coach, Drew
Rozell. And I'm delighted to be sharing this resource
with you!
Drew, you've created an awesome space and it will positively impact
people for years to come! It has already done so for me. Bravo, Drew,
bravo!!!
Everyone else pay attention. You all have a decision to make! Will you 1) ignore
what you've
just read? 2) take action? 3) work on creating 5,000
goals?
It is your choice.

p.s. How many goals do you have?
